This policy covers the App and the Harbor Service only. Purchases and browsing on harbor.co are covered by our separate Store Privacy Policy.

Device permissions
The App asks for these permissions only when you use the feature that needs them. You can turn any of them off in your phone's settings, but the related feature will stop working.
- Contacts: to pick a person from your phone when inviting a caregiver.
- Location: Android requires location access to scan for Bluetooth devices. We use it only to find your camera during setup.
- Nearby devices and Wi-Fi: to find your camera over Bluetooth and connect it to your Wi-Fi network.
- Microphone: to talk through the camera, only while talk-back is on.
- Notifications: to send you camera alerts and account messages.

Children's information
The App is for parents and caregivers aged 18 and older. Children do not create accounts or use the App.
Harbor cameras record video and audio of the room they watch, which usually includes a baby or young child. We also create sleep data from that footage. We treat this information as belonging to the parent or guardian who owns the account. It is collected only at their direction and used only to provide the Harbor Service to them. We never use it for advertising.
The account owner can view or delete this information at any time, as described below.
Security and retention
We protect your information with encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and end-to-end encryption. Only authorized staff can access stored data, and only when needed to run or support the Harbor Service. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password and keep your sign-in details private.
We keep information only as long as we need it:
| Information | How long we keep it |
|---|---|
| Video history | 24 hours, then deleted automatically |
| Saved moments | Until you delete them or delete your account |
| Sleep data and AI summaries | 30 days |
| Feedback clips | 30 days |
| Crash and analytics data | 30 days |
| Account and profile | Until you delete your account |
| After account deletion | Deleted within 30 days, except what we must keep by law, such as purchase records |

- Remove a caregiver's access at any time in People.
- Turn off AI features in Camera Settings.
- Turn off device permissions in your phone's settings.
- Cancel your subscription through Google Play or the App Store.
Privacy rights. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or get a copy of your information. You may also have the right to restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent, and appeal a decision we make about your request. To use these rights, email support@harbor.co. We may need to verify your identity first. We will not treat you differently for using your rights.
International transfers
We are based in the United States and store information on servers in the United States. If you use the App outside the United States, your information will be transferred to the United States. Where required, we rely on safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the effective date above. If a change is significant, we will notify you in the App or by email before it takes effect.
