Remote Patient Monitoring

A modern approach to overnight safety through real-time monitoring by registered nurses that supports caregivers, prevents injuries, and eases overnight supervision.

Harbor Baby Monitor, Baby Camera, and Mobile App

Harbor supports patients and caregivers at 5-10% of the cost of in person monitoring.

WE'RE AWAKE WHILE YOU'RE ASLEEP

So, What is Remote Patient Monitoring?

Caregivers face tremendous pressure to provide constant supervision—especially at night, when risks escalate and staffing is limited. Adults and children with physical or cognitive impairment, seizures, fall risk, or mobility challenges require vigilant care, often at the expense of the caregiver’s sleep and wellbeing.

With live, overnight monitoring by registered nurses, Harbor ensures high-risk situations are detected and addressed—before they become emergencies.

We'll take the night shift.

Remote overnight monitoring helps caregivers rest and manage nighttime safety with confidence. Harbor provides a camera-based monitoring system backed by registered nurses who monitor live overnight feeds, respond to movement or distress, and alert caregivers if intervention is needed.

THE HARBOR RNN PROCESS

So, how does it work?

Harbor Baby Monitor and Camera

Onboarding

Setup: After receiving your Harbor Monitor and Camera, set up your system with the provided in box instructions.

Introductory Call: Together with your input, our team of nurses will create a healthy, safe care plan for your loved one.

Intake Forms: After your introductory call, our care team will send over intake forms. Simply sign and you’re ready to go!

Start of Night

When it’s time for Harbor to take over each night, you’ll grant access to your Monitor. Without this, Harbor cannot see your feed. Don’t worry—once the session ends, your feed is completely private and you can turn it off any time.

Harbor will then turn off your Monitor screen and mute the audio, allowing you to get much-needed, uninterrupted sleep.

During the Night

All night, Harbor will watch your loved one closely to ensure they are safe. Harbor will send an alert to your Monitor to wake you if your loved one needs assistance.

In the event you do not wake, we will send escalating alerts, then use Emergency Bypass Mode on your phone as a failsafe backup. If there’s ever a lost connection, our built-in failsafe technology will immediately cancel the remote session and turn your Monitor/audio back on, making it a normal night with your Monitor.

Handoff

In the morning, Harbor will turn your Monitor back on and connect with you directly through text or call to ensure your baby is never alone.

Harbor will send an alert for parent to acknowledge to confirm end of shift. Once the alert is acknowledged, you again have full audio and visual on the monitor of your loved one.

Real People. Real Results.

“Harbor Care has been a lifesaver for my family! I have an adult child with special needs who is blind and needs supervision. Sleeping with a monitor significantly interfered with the quality of my sleep and I was waking up needlessly throughout the night for non-emergencies. We also tried in person overnight caregivers who were not only expensive, but very disruptive to the quiet and privacy of our home. From the first night we used Harbor, I knew this was our answer.

While in person overnight caregivers often slept through my daughter’s nightly wakings, Harbor Care provides a detailed summary every morning allowing me to rest assured that my daughter is safe and getting the overnight supervision she needs.”

FAQS

Who are Harbor's Registered Nurses?

Harbor’s Remote Monitoring team members are educated professionals with robust training and experience who have been employed by other families, night nursing agencies, or in the medical field.

How is this different from traditional in-home, overnight care?

In-home, overnight can be incredibly expensive, and difficult to find. In most major cities, it can cost $400-700 per night for weeks on end. While hands-on help is incredible, it’s also unaffordable for almost everyone and can be incredibly difficult to find vetted, trusted providers.

Harbor monitors your loved one remotely until wake-up time, alerting you through the monitor only when necessary, with failsafe alerts in the event you don’t wake up or there is a loss of connection. We have every family go through a robust onboarding process to answer all questions.

What happens if I sleep through an alert?

Harbor will alert your Monitor first and have eyes on your loved one at all times. If you do not respond to the initial alert, we send an escalated alert that cannot be missed. We’ll also walk you through backup phone call protocol setup. That said, you should always have your Monitor in your room with you, plugged in, and be capable of responding.

How many patients does each RN watch?

Our RN are only allotted only a few patients at a time to ensure maximum attention and focus for each family.

How do you ensure my loved one is being watched all night?

Harbor's RNs not only have vast experience, but have been thoroughly vetted by our team and undergone rigorous training to ensure only the best of the best are watching your loved one.
